HIGH QUALITY AMERICAN MADE PRODUCTS

Our main goal at Groundwater Innovations is to make high quality American made products for the professionals in the field. Drawing from my 14 years of providing field services for both the environmental and coastal engineering disciplines, drilling and drilling oversight and non-traditional sampling projects I have begun making products needed in the field rather than simply having to use what is provided. Drawing on the six plus years of machining experience of the co-founder we have been able to create and are still perfecting new and innovative products. Quality, durability, and adaptability are the criteria for all our products. Lastly, because all our products are hand made to date, we can custom modify any of our products to fit job specific needs.

New Buffalo Air Pumps with No Moving Parts

Buffalo Air Pumps are stainless steel pumps with No moving parts. They were developed and are ideal for water well production, water well development and water well redevelopment. Because of the unique features of air lift pumps, they will pump a head over 1 atmosphere (33 feet) where centrifugal pumps will fail. Unlike submersible pumps, Buffalo Air Pumps will continue to work when sand or other debris is present in a well without ruining the pump.

Ground Water Innovations offers models for wells/piping with inside diameters of ¾ inch, 1 inch, and 2 inch. We are developing models for 1.5 inch and 4 inch wells. Some are available now. Go to our Buffalo Air Pumps page. All air lift pumps are made in America. These pumps are constructed from 304 stainless steel and can be modified to fit specific job needs. Our pumps come with a Lifetime Guarantee.

Our unique patented design enables the discharge tubing and air supply to be secured with the least amount of constriction allowing for the highest possible discharge rates. These pumps are ideal for removing sand, bio-remediation byproducts (sludge), organics, silts, clays and various solids from monitoring and water wells. They are also ideal for reducing the cost of pumping water because they are durable and do not require expensive custom parts. Any source of compressed air (without oil in it for environmental and potable usage) may be utilized. All accessory parts for the pumping system can be purchased at a local environmental supply, drilling supply or hardware store.

Adaptability was the driving force behind the conception and design of Buffalo Air Pumps. The innovative-patented design allows professionals in the environmental field to remove water and solids from wells and piping as small ¾ inch in diameter. This facilitates the purging, development or redevelopment (rehabilitation) of air sparge points, monitoring wells and piezometers. The pumps can also be used to remove other products from any vessels or water bodies conforming to submergence requirements. With the largest discharge diameter piping of 1 inch, the 2 inch Buffalo Air Pump during field usage has proven proficient in the removal of gravel, heavy organics and absorbent sock remnants from wells.

Air lift principles also allows the user to pump water and solids from wells having a head over 1 atmosphere (33 feet) where traditional purging methods utilizing peristaltic or centrifugal pumps fail. The terminal pumping depths of the pumps are dependent upon submergence percentages.
Usability was also a factor in the pumps simple design. All tubing and accessories for pump operation can be purchased at most environmental supply stores, drilling supply stores and hardware stores. No more waiting for custom parts to be delivered. Air supply can come from any oilless air compressor, truck braking system with oil filter in line or utilize air supply from existing remediation systems.

Adaptability was the driving force behind the conception and design of Buffalo Air Pumps. The innovative-patented design allows drilling professionals to remove water and sediments from wells and micro wells as small as ¾ inch in diameter. This facilitates the purging, development or redevelopment (rehabilitation) of air sparge points, monitoring wells and piezometers. The pumps can also be used to remove other products from any vessels or water bodies conforming to submergence requirements. With the largest discharge diameter piping of 1 inch, the 2 inch Buffalo Air Pump during field usage has proven proficient in the removal of impeller binding silts, gravel, heavy organics and absorbent sock remnants from wells. Field usage has also shown that the 2 inch Buffalo Air Pump has been able to lift water and sediment from a well depth of 300’ with a head of 100’

Most drillers are familiar with air lift principles which allows the user to pump water and solids from wells having a head over 1 atmosphere (33 feet) where traditional purging methods utilizing peristaltic or centrifugal pumps fail. Usability was also a factor in the pumps simple design. All tubing and accessories for pump operation can be purchased at drilling supply stores and hardware stores. No more waiting for custom parts to be delivered. Air supply is also readily available utilizing the brake system on the drill rig with an oil filter in line or standard air compressor.

Livestock maintenance and irrigation is easy with Buffalo Air Pumps. Ranchers can easily add and remove pumps from well to well to feed their livestock. All the user needs is a power source, air compressor, tubing and a Buffalo Air Pump. Simply drop the tubing with the attached pump into the well, apply air and begin pumping. Locate a power source if not mobile, lift the tubing with attached pump and move it to another well closer to the next pasture. The costs of these pumps and associated tubing to make up the pumping system in relation to comparable pumps makes it economically feasible to leave dedicated Buffalo Air Pumps in several wells.

If your well contains gravel or other particulates, do not worry because Buffalo Air Pumps innovative design and lack of moving parts make it ideal in not so ideal conditions. You can even use it to rehabilitate old wells by removing recharge restricting sediment. If your well runs dry you won’t have to worry about ruining an expensive submersible pump. No motor to overheat. No replacing expensive submersible pumps. Also, eliminate having to purchase and wait for custom parts. All tubing and adapters are standard and can be purchased at most local tack shops or hardware stores. In addition, all Buffalo Air Pumps come with a Lifetime Guarantee.
